Matshwane International School

Nestled in the heart of Maun, the Gateway to the Okavango Delta, our school offers a unique learning experience through the Cambridge International Curriculum. We provide a globally recognized education, blending academic excellence with cultural diversity.

The name “Matshwane,” which means honey badger in Setswana, embodies the tenacity and resilience of our community, which has thrived despite challenging conditions. Notably, the Matshwane Ward in Maun was named after our school, as it was the only group of buildings in the area at the time.

Today, Matshwane International School continues to serve as an English-medium, independent, co-educational institution, welcoming students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.

Our educational journey begins with learners as young as four years old in Std 00 and extends through to IGCSE as well as AS levels in our College. We take pride in being a member of the Independent Schools Association Botswana and the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa.
