Clifton College
Clifton College, established in 2011 with an initial enrolment of 15 students, has evolved into a distinguished academic institution serving over 220 students from Form 1 to A2 Level. Operated as a registered, non-profit organisation under the governance of an experienced Board of Governors, Clifton College maintains accreditation with the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA), Independent Schools Association of Botswana (ISAB), and the Independent Schools Evaluations Southern Africa (IOSESA). The College is also an authorised Cambridge examination centre.
The institution offers a comprehensive academic programme alongside a robust selection of sports and cultural activities, supported by modern facilities that include well-equipped classrooms, laboratories and dedicated sporting fields. Clifton College offers the Cambridge International Curriculum and examinations are written at IGCSE, AS and A-Level. The College’s track record is reflected in outstanding achievements across academics, sports, and culture, with students attaining national and international honours, including top Cambridge results and remarkable performances in sports competitions. The College continues to deliver a balanced, purposeful curriculum, ensuring that every student receives the highest standard of education and the opportunity to excel.
Clifton College’s top academic achievements include having students who got Cambridge Awards for Top in the World and Top in Botswana. Clifton College has a tradition of academic distinction with outstanding Cambridge examinations attained every year. In addition, one of our students represented Botswana twice in the International Mathematical Olympiad, underscoring Clifton College’s commitment to nurturing students who excel both nationally and internationally.
In addition to academic excellence, Clifton College has achieved remarkable success in sports and cultural activities. In 2025, the College was crowned ISSSA (national) champions in athletics league B, swimming, cricket and tennis, and retained the hockey championship due to cancellation of the games. Clifton College students excel nationally in cricket, tennis, basketball, softball and swimming.
