Broadhurst Primary School, established in 1981 and opened in 1982 under headteacher Mrs Mandy Watson, stands as Botswana’s premier international independent school. Founded by Anglo American Botswana and backed by major diamond companies including Debswana, DTCB, and De Beers Global Sightholders Sales, the school has grown from humble beginnings into a world-class educational institution.

What sets Broadhurst apart is its distinction as Botswana’s only accredited Thinking School, part of a global movement endorsed by the University of Exeter. Using powerful tools like Thinking Maps, Thinking Hats, Habits of Mind, Visible Thinking Routines, and fostering a growth mindset, we make children’s thinking visible and prepare them for success in an interconnected world.
